The song on it's own is pretty good, however the structure of the song betrays it. It's simply weak (in terms of impact) in places where it should be stronger, and very strong in places where it shouldn't really be. And the transitions in the first half are jarring, I'm thinking the one at 00:39 in particular. Still far from a bad song, as on it's own, if you were to take each individual part as their own songs, they work exceptionally well. I will say, the vocal bridge isn't exactly the strongest, the lack of any variety, editing or unique tone makes it sound a touch annoying after a few times. In short, this song is flawed, but it has plenty of charm to spare.
